Content Management System
CMS (Content management system) – a computer program used for management of content. CMSs are usually used for storing, controlling and publishing of a considerable amount of data (images, music, video files, etc.).
One of a special case of such systems is a site’s control system – Web CMS Script, which allows operating text and graphic filling of a web page, thus providing a user with a convenient tool for data storage and publication.
Here is a set of ready Web control systems. They can be divided into three types, depending on the mode of work:
• Generation of pages on demand. Pages are created from scratch by a server at each inquiry, but this process overloads system’s resources. Time of loading can be lowered by means of caching, which is available in modern web servers.
• Generation of pages at editing. Systems of this type are made to edit static pages easily.
• The mixed type. This type combines advantages of the first two ones. Mixed type of CMS can be implemented by means of caching — the representation module generates a page once, and next time uploads the page from cache. Cache can be updated both automatically and manually. Another benefit of this mixed type of CMS is possibility to create blocks of data, and then combine them into pages.

Most of the parts of a modern control system are implemented by use of visual editor (WYSIWYG) – software which creates HTML-code using simplified labels, which allows the user to edit content in the easiest way.
